Can you tell?! I made this vase the other day in the studio while we were making some cool, new glass to sell at the art show this weekend in Indian Wells (Palm Springs— here we come!). Between it all, I squeezed in this little, happy, citrus-y pink bud vase for my mom’s Valentine’s Day gift. She promptly set this double flowered daffodil (its name eludes me at the moment!) in the little vase and look how cute it is! Sometimes, things just fall together the right way.
Have you checked out this incredible video of our Modern Rustic wedding inspiration photo shoot? Major kudos to Isabell of Chiarashine Photography for creating this video! I love how she captured the movement of the golden grasses and warm, summer breezes kissing the flowers. A great videographer expresses the feeling and movement of the moment and makes it feel like you are right there experiencing it. I think Izzy did a fantastic job transporting you to the moment of our photo shoot. And, how can your day not be brightened after watching? It is completely 1 minute and 57 seconds of visual therapy.
Raenelle and Kris are a couple I had the pleasure of working with to create their perfect flower story for their wedding. The couple met in Kauai and were excited to embody and bring the tropical, verdant beauty into their wedding day. We were happy to oblige! Here is a highlight reel of their special day.

My dear friend and past roommate Lorraine of Harvesting Love Events asked me if I was interested in doing a small and sweet photo shoot with some awesome vendors late July. And, I said, “YES!” So, here it is, the fruits of our good, good, sweet labor— our photoshoot on the Style Me Pretty Blog!

A happy flower in a perfect vase, greeting you at the door when you arrive home is hard to beat. Unless if you have 3 waggy-tailed, smiling dogs greeting you at the door too (no picture available because they are too squirmy and excited at this point— kinda overwhelming…!). I believe this particular dahlia is called ‘Blown Dry’ and it grew into this beauty at Corralitos Gardens in Corralitos, CA. For scale, it was approximately the size of my open hand! The color range was phenomenal as it changed from intense peachy coral to soft, sweet peach to sherbet orange with strokes of sunny yellow and hints of creamy magenta. The vase was hand blown by my partner Josh (at Josh Fradis Glass Art). We work together in combining art and nature, flowers and glass and frequently experiment with little collaborations that we have fun putting together! So probably, expect a lot more of these in the future.
I will be posting my floral design adventures to here. Stay posted…!
